On May 30, 2007, Angel O. Nieva, husband, father, and friend left this earth to join God in heaven. There was a quote on his obituary by Arthur Ashe - "From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life". This quote accurately described the man who gave of himself to his family, his church - Beatitudes of Our Lord, his work, friends and other endeavors. Angel, with his infinitely busy schedule, was always in the moment, present in whatever he committed to do.
We can all learn a lesson from how Angel lived his life; to the fullest, with love and devotion to what mattered to him.
Angel, whereever you are, thank you for gracing us with your presence and love. We will miss you!
